This job was posted by : For more information, please see: We are needing assistance with all job duties associated with baling corn and milo stocks after the grain has been harvested. Worker will perform duties related to SOC code 45-2091-Agricultural Equipment Operators. Job duties will include but not be limited to: Operating tractors, balers, rakes, hay trailers, trucks, swathers/windrowers, and other equipment used to cut, bale, and move hay most of which is equipped with GPS. Observe and listen to machinery operations to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach and detach farm implements using bolts and hand tools. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm worker. Worker will be expected to grease equipment, blow out air filters, load net/twine into balers, change swather knives, adjust conditioner rolls. Move bales from the field, load trailers, and deliver to haystacks/yards. Workers may also need to move snow and ice so that bales can be moved. We bale stocks through the winter months, and worker will need to work in extreme temperatures that may be below freezing. Must speak and understand English Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.
