Hey there! I'm Tim, a vineyard/orchard owner in beautiful Paonia, Colorado. I'm on the lookout for a responsible house sitter to help look after my 4 acre farm while I'm away. The gig involves pet feeding, mail collection, snow clearing, and managing trash & recycling. I'm offering free housing for your valuable assistance. If you're reliable, trustworthy, and love pets, I'd love to hear from you! I am hoping to travel from November 1, 2026 - February 1, 2027. PJ is my 25lb farm pup. He loves attention but roams the farm much of the time. I have an outdoor cat that lives in my garage that appreciates a bowl of food and water each week. My chickens require a little bit of corn and water each day, but they provide fresh eggs in return. Additionally, gathering the mail and keeping an eye on things while I'm away is crucial. Paonia gets a couple of 4"-6" snows each month in the winter, so being able to clear walkways and keep the property safe is a must. And of course, managing a trash can each week will be important. Our small farm is a destination resort during the summer and fall. During the winter we host an occasional nightly guest in one of our deluxe suites. This gig would include a little bit of contact with those guests if needed. We provide good WiFi signal for a remote worker. Paonia is home to 1500 people and we are located a mile from the gorgeous downtown,. Winter is slow and quiet here and the mountain views are stunning.
