Job Description

The Medical Assistant role provides clinical and administrative support under the supervision of a Provider and/or licensed Nurse. Prepare patients for exams, record vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and administer medications as directed. Collect data for patient assessments, discharge plans, and contribute to individualized care, under nursing guidance. Handle laboratory specimen collection, processing, and submission per policy. Communicate patient findings to Providers/Nurses and document care accurately within the EPIC system. Manage point-of-service activities including scheduling, visit prep, co-payment collection, and patient tracking. Perform department-specific clinical duties such as POCT and screenings, along with routine office tasks. Maintain examination rooms, stock supplies, and promote positive relationships with patients and staff. Follow safety policies to ensure a secure environment for all. Qualifications And Skills Experience in phlebotomy preferred; knowledge of medical terminology required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic medical records systems preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a recognized Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory; Medical Assistant certification preferred. No prior experience or supervision required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
